I found this dip on Epicurious a long time ago. I had made a recipe that used only half a container of sour cream and so I was looking for something to do with the other half. This dip is good because most of these ingredients I always have on hand. Obviously the fresh herbs make it better but dried work out just fine. This is one of those recipes that really does taste better if it sits overnight. The flavors really meld. It's nice with crudite or some crinkley potato chips.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons minced fresh dill or 2 teaspoons dried dillweed
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
3 or 4 minced green onions
1 tablespoon chili sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
salt and freshly ground pepper
METHOD
Combine all ingredients in bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Refrigerate until well chilled.
Makes about 1 cup.
