Of course you can buy premade pita chips - if you're a cheater. Isn't it so much more gratifying to make them yourself? They're super easy. Just make sure they don't get too brown.
Freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Cut each pita in half and then into wedges. Arrange the pita wedges on a large baking sheet. Brush the wedges with the olive oil. Sprinkle with the oregano, salt, and pepper. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until toasted and golden in color.
Cool the toasted pitas on a baking rack or serve warm alongside hummus.
